I FINALLY WENT TO THE SHU UEMURA SECTION IN DJs IN THE CITY.
I HAVE THEIR vinyl unlimited lip gloss AND IT'S FREAKING AWESOME :)
(The girl working there was also very pretty)
I sort of wanted the false lashes, but I just bought a new pair from Chi Chi that's like
13mm long,
so maybe next time...
I fell in love with the (very avant garde designs of) lashes from Shu Uemura a few years ago and only very recently learnt that DJ stocked them after reading a post in
destroyx.com
[CLICK IT! CLICK IT, I SAY!]
It is the blog of the very talented Miss Amelia Arsenic (of the friggen-oarsom band Angelspit) which features band updates, her art and designs as well as other things like fashion bits and tips. I still have their signed poster from the Krankhaus era above my bedpost :'D.
So anyway, today...
a 40-50 year old woman approached me in the clothing section of dj and told me that i looked really 'cute' in my lolita outfit and then proceeded to ask me for my number so that we could ''perhaps get some coffee together some time..."
Now, I don't have anything against same-sex relationships or anything, but I'm straight so it was just a little bit awkward. A handful of people had already stopped me in the morning to compliment my outfit or to ask for photos, but EYEING ME UP AND DOWN SEVERAL TIMES WHILE ASKING FOR MY NUMBER was definitely a big nono. IT'S JUST CREEPY. As flattering as this experience may have been, I don't think it was entirely appropriate, especially after she told me I was an "adorable china-doll". Kthxbye nao.
i'm going to open an etsy store within the next week.
it shall be called 'sugarpop parade'
i will sell handmade jewellery
maybe lolita accessories, too.
here's stuff i've made before (&mostly sold on ebay) :

pearl& chain choker

Red& black lolita headdress

Red plaid lolita headdress

Birdcage, pearl& swarovski crystal bracelet watch.
I will be making somewhat 'cuter' items this time since my tastes have changed slightly since I made these. We'll see!
